rarity

If you are in Maryland and are not able to travel more than one state over to witness Solar annularity, the next Annular Solar Eclipse visible from the region covering Maryland, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Delaware is not until 2093-07-23 (in Pennsylvania), a wait time of seventy years.  Based on average life expectancy in the USA for 2023, anyone in the USA born before 2017 will not likely be able to see this.

If you are able to travel anywhere within the Contiguous USA, the next Annular Solar Eclipse after 2023-10-14 will be on 2046-02-05, visible from Idaho, Nevada, California, and Oregon.  This will be a wait time of twenty-three years and individuals in the USA born before 1970 will not likely be able to see this.
